Take the sacrifice of Isaac. Talk about child abuse, even with all the spin clergy put on this story, it’s just nasty. But this God of the monotheisms is a very complex character & He did very good work when He created the heavens and the earth. In fact, if He hadn’t created the serpent and the tree of knowledge I would have no problem with Him at all.
